SLOPE  SLALOM™ - Ride Description

This single slalom event is a challenge between you and the clock. Rriders will range from beginner to advanced. The reason for having side-by-side courses is simply to allow more riders to participate and get an idea of rider comparisons.
Event Schedule

Preliminary Heats:

Each rider is guaranteed a total of four runs. During the preliminaries, the participant can run the course as many times as able to secure a qualifying spot within a fixed time window. Just be in good enough shape to ride up to the starting line vs. looping down from the top of the chairlift. Only your fastest time will be kept for advancement in the standings.

Quarter Finals:

The top ten times for male, female and kids under 14 per each wave category will move onto the quarter finals. Riders will follow the same method of taking a run on the course whenever there is an open slot in the scheduled time block. An average of your top two times in the quarterfinals will be used to advance you into the category finals.

Finals:

The top three riders with combined times per wave go into the finals. At this point, the riders should be fairly even in ability and the times will be close. The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be recognized on center stage in Rio Grande Park on Saturday.
